This beautiful and luxurious brushed alpaca throw is woven by Masterweave Textiles in New Zealand. The undyed natural alpaca fibre is sourced from farms throughout New Zealand and Australia. For over 5000 years fine alpaca fibre of incredible softness was woven in the Andes of South America for the Incan royalty, however only recently has knowledge of the softness, strength and warmth of alpaca fibre spread to parts of the world such as New Zealand, where alpacas are now reared. In addition to its superb natural insulating properties alpaca fibre is non-irritative and hypo-allergenic. This luxurious dye free alpaca throw measures 185cm x 125cm (72" x 50") and is fringed at each end. It is woven from two shades of undyed fibre being mid chocolate brown and natural cream. The mix of these two different shades creates a soft dappled brown throw with great tactile and sensory appeal. This alpaca throw may be hand washed or drycleaned and is also available in natural cream.
