Propolis is a substance which bees collect from the sticky buds of selected trees. The bees take the propolis and add some of their own substances and use it to line their hives, making them sterile and resistant to attack from bacteria. Modern research has shown that propolis has anti-bacterial properties that assist humans in resisting disease and symptoms arising from bacterial, fungal parasites and environmental toxins. Regular use of propolis helps some people resist winter colds and common viruses. Each of the 500 tablets in this bottle contain 250 mg of propolis. Between 1 and 6 tablets may be taken daily. Propolis may cause severe allergic reactions and should not be taken by people who are allergic to bee stings or any other bee product.
