Sheepskin Rugs & Cushions

Shop genuine New Zealand sheepskin rugs and cushions from Bowron, one of the country's most respected sheepskin tanneries. Our range includes single, double, quarto, sexto and octo Goldstar sheepskin rugs, sheepskin cushion covers, long wool lambskin baby comforters and stroller and car seat fleeces.

A sheepskin rug adds instant warmth and texture to a living room, bedroom or reading nook. Draped over a chair, laid beside the bed or used as a throw on the sofa, the deep natural wool pile is soft underfoot and naturally temperature regulating. Sheepskin is also durable, naturally resistant to dirt and, when well tanned, long lasting.

Sizes are described by how many skins are joined together. A single sheepskin rug suits a chair or bedside, a double or quarto works as a small floor rug, and sexto and octo sizes create a large statement rug for lounges. Lambskins have a finer, softer wool and are popular for babies, prams and car seats. Always follow safe sleep guidance for infants. To care for your sheepskin, shake it out regularly, brush with a wire sheepskin brush to keep the pile fluffy, and spot clean spills quickly. Avoid direct heat and prolonged strong sunlight, which can dry the leather backing.
